Rashid bashes govt for ‘illegal’ raids

RAWALPINDI: Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Friday he would neither lay down arms nor hold a press conference.
In a message, the former interior minister said he was making that video in a state of immense grief.
He said the mother of Rashid Shafique passed away the other day. He deplored that two raids were conducted on his residence and two of his servants were taken away by law-enforcement agencies.
Rashid said seven bogus cases were registered against him but he had already secured bail in all these cases.
He asked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to inflict cruelty on others as much as he could himself bear. He said he belonged to a noble family. He said he would stand by his friends and party like a rock. He added that he would remain loyal to them till his death. –Agencies
