QUETTA: Five people, including two policemen, sustained injuries in a hand grenade attack on Joint Road, Quetta on Wednesday.
Quetta Civil Hospital sources said the injured including a woman and two policemen were brought to the hospital and their condition is stable.
He said the injured were given medical treatment.
Sharing details of the incident, the police told media that the injured policemen traded fire with some unidentified troublemakers who also lobbed a grenade on the police.
The miscreants fled from the spot, the police said.
Senior police officials visited the spot and where they were briefed.
The blast comes a day after seven people were killed including a UC chairman in a remote control blast on a vehicle in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.
The district administration said that the incident took place in the Balgatar area of Panjgur district.
The district administration spokesperson stated that the bomb exploded when the UC chairman Ishaq Yaqub was coming back from a wedding.
