RAWALPINDI: The minor girls recovered from the house of Pir Asad Shah revealed that the Bibi – wife of Asad Shah – used to give them hot water to drink and if the victim made any mistake, she threatened the minor girls of ‘killing’.
According to the BBC Urdu report, Fatima was not the first minor girl who worked in the house of Pir Asad Shah, but many teenage girls had already been victims.
Nasreen, a girl employed at the house of Pir Asad Shah, disclosed that “Bibi [referring to Pir Asad Shah’s wife] used to give me hot water to drink and we were only allowed to eat the leftovers, adding that, we were permitted to sleep at 4 AM and woken up at 10 AM.”
Nasreen further revealed that Bibi would often be told to dance and engage in fights just for the sake of her entertainment.
The eyewitness of the torture on Fatima – Nasreen – claimed that if she [Fatima] made a small mistake in her household chores, Bibi used to threatened her with violence, tell her that, “I will kill you.”
Describing another incident of physical violence, Nasreen claimed that on one occasion, Bibi struck her so forcefully that her mouth began to bleed, and subsequently, Bibi instructed her to ingest the blood.
Noreen recounted that when she informed the villagers about the physical violence, they did not believe her and said, “Our spiritual leader would never do such things.” Zebun Nissa – another maid – also alleged that Bibi Hina punched her ten-year-old daughter on the eye and then put make-up on her face to cover it up. As per BBC reports, the correspondent of the international news outlet contacted to Pir Asad’s father-in-law Fayyaz Shah and his lawyer for their perspective on the matter, but they declined to comment on the allegations.
