ICCPO commends officials for combating crime

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan presided over a crime meeting on Tuesday which was held at the Central Police Office.
The meeting was attended by CPO Operations, CPO Headquarters, SSP Operations, SSP Safe City, AIG Operations, all Zonal DPOs, SDPOs, and all incharge police stations.
During the meeting, the ICCPO reviewed the crime situation in the federal capital and commended the performance of the police officials for effective measures in crime combating during the last 09 months. ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan also emphasized the need for continued vigilance and proactive measures. He directed all Zone DPOs to intensify efforts against land grabbers, drug dealers, and criminal elements within their jurisdictions.
The ICCPO said that the Safe City Islamabad high-tech cameras are 96% operational and working effectively and continuously monitoring the suspicious elements in the federal capital. To further bolster the surveillance system, an additional 2,500 cameras are being deployed in central areas on a priority basis, he added.
He also directed the officers to prioritize the security and protection of citizens’ lives and properties. He stated that no unauthorized religious or political groups would be allowed to engage in illegal activities in the federal capital. Furthermore, he underscored the commitment to maintain law and order in Islamabad and ensure the safety and security of its citizens. He stated that all available resources would be utilized to achieve this goal.
He also made it clear that no group or individuals would be allowed to disrupt the peace and harmony of the city.
He reiterated that the federal capital is home to people from diverse backgrounds and that their safety and security are paramount.
At the end, he called upon all officers to fulfill their duties with utmost diligence and courage, emphasizing that they are part of an esteemed police force, and the dignity and honor of this force are their responsibility.
