ARDU books bike lifter, recovers stolen motorbike

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) police team has arrested a wanted member of a bike lifters gang involved in numerous bike lifting incidents and recovered a stolen motorbike from his possession.
Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements involved in bike and car lifting incidents in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
According to the details, the Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a bike lifter gang involved in numerous bike lifting incidents. The accused was identified as Waseem Ahmed.
Police team also recovered a stolen motorbike from his possession. Cases were already registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) further directed the police teams to intensify efforts against criminals involved in cars and motorbikes lifting incidents.
