PMD forecasts dry weather in most parts

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, partly cloudy weather with light rain (light snowfall over high mountains) is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly trough is present over the northern parts of the country. During the last 24 hours, partly cloudy weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while cold in upper areas.
The lowest minimum temperatures was recorded in Leh where mercury fell to -03°C.
Earlier, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Sunday indicated that there will be no impact of the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (VSCS) over Southwest Arabian Sea in any of the Pakistan’s coastal area.
The PMD, which is continuously monitoring the situation said that the Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS) “TEJ” over Southwest Arabian Sea moved further northwestward during last 12 hour. –Agencies
