Cricket match held at Lines HQs

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, to encourage the police officials towards healthy activities a friendly cricket match was played between Islamabad Capital Police and Lahore Police at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad cricket ground, a public relations officer said.
He said that DSP Headquarters participated as chief guests, and a large number of Islamabad Capital Police and Rawalpindi Police officials were also present on the occasion.
Islamabad Capital Police won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 188 runs in 30 overs. The La-hore police team managed to score 162 runs. Islamabad Capital Police won the match by 26 runs. Af-terwards, DSP Headquarters distributed shields among the players.
The ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir said that the purpose of the cricket match is to motivate the police officials and encourage them towards healthy activities. Such activities will continue in the future as well, he maintained.
