ISLAMABAD: Under the special directives of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Safe City Islamabad has integrated with the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department through the Safe City E-Challan system.
A large number of vehicles with Sindh number plates were found in violation of traffic laws in the federal capital and their data was not available in the Safe City E-Challan system, causing difficulties in issuing E-Challan tickets.
However, by integrating with the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department, it has become easier to issue E-Challan tickets to traffic law violators. Strict measures have also been put in place for continuous traffic law violators and E-Challan defaulters.
Furthermore, strict actions are being taken including suspending the driving licenses of E-Challan defaulters and tracing their vehicles using modern surveillance systems.
Citizens can check their E-Challan on the official website of Islamabad Capital Police at www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk or by visiting the provided link at https://ict.islamabadpolice.gov.pk:8081/veri/verify_e_challan.php by entering their vehicle registration number.
E-Challan fines can be paid through the Jazz Cash mobile app or JS Bank wallet. Failure to pay the E-Challan will result in legal action against the defaulters.
Islamabad Capital Police is prioritizing the maintenance of peace and security and the protection of the lives and property of citizen.
