RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir highlighted the importance of combat readiness and mental agility to respond to a ‘multi-spectral threat paradigm’, said a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.
The army chief was visiting a Corps Level Collective Training exercise of a Strike Corps based in Mangla.
“The exercise is aimed at validating offensive operational concepts.
He witnessed an impressive display of complex maneuvers undertaken, led by Armoured formation equipped with state-of-the-art VT-4 tanks.” said the ISPR.
General Asim also reiterated during his visit that realistic, mission-oriented training during peacetime can guarantee “excellence on the battlefield should the need arise”.
He also met troops participating in the maneuvers and commended their professionalism and operational efficiency.
On arrival, the army chief was received by the commander of Mangla Corps. –Agencies
