ISLAMABAD: The Adiala jail administration on Thursday refused to transfer Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder, from Bani Gala to the jail.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court heard the Bushra Bibi’s plea seeking transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
During the hearing, the Superintendent of Adiala Jail refused to transfer Bushra Bibi to jail.
According to the report, the jail administration said there is less space in the jail as 250 women are already imprisoned there.
On the other hand, the chief commissioner of Islamabad has not yet submitted his response. The court granted the more time and adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
It should be noted that Bushra Bibi has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Toshakhana and illegal marriage cases. She filed an application in court begging transfer to Adiala Jail.
Earlier, An anti-terrorism court on Thursday extended the interim bails of the sisters of the PTI founder in May 9 vandalism cases. –Agencies
