ISLAMABAD: Delegation from World Football visited Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad. The delegation consisted of international football players Michael Owen, Emile Heskey, and Amando Moreno, along with football club owners, coaches, and members of the media.
During the visit, a friendly football match was played between the Logistics Division and the Security Division police teams to encourage Islamabad Police officers to engage in healthy activities and promote their mental well-being.
IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIG Headquarters Syed Mustafa Tanveer, and other senior police officials, along with the World Football delegation, watched the match.
Following the match, the IGP Islamabad and the delegation distributed prizes to the winning team and police officers who demonstrated outstanding performances.
The IGP emphasized that the purpose of organizing the football match was to boost morale among police employees, encourage their participation in healthy activities, and foster their mental and physical development alongside their duties of maintaining law and order.
He highlighted how games contribute to personality development, character maturity, and the establishment of a healthy society. Furthermore, he stated that such activities would continue to be held on the sports field in the future.
The delegation also visited the firing range, where Islamabad Police officers demonstrated their skills in dealing with criminals and terrorist elements, ensuring the safety and security of the public and their property.
