——– Pakistan Navy officers, workers lauded for third successful anti-narcotics operation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday appreciated the officers and workers of the Pakistan Navy for carrying out the third consecutive successful anti-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea during the last ten days. He also appreciated the officers and staffers deployed at PMSS Zhob for confiscating a huge quantity of narcotics, according to a PM Office statement.
“The measures by Pakistan Navy to safeguard Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and elimination of illegal activities are laudable,” the prime minister commented who is currently on a five-day visit to China.
Earlier, The Pakistan Navy (PN) and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) in a joint operation have con-fiscated huge quantity of narcotics in the North Arabian Sea.
The consignment of illegal and costly drugs was recovered by PMSA Zhob. This is the third successful operation of Pakistan against anti-narcotics activities in the Arabian Sea in less than 10-day time.
On June 01, the Pak Navy Ship Yarmook confiscated 380 kilograms of narcotics in an operation in the North Arabian Sea.
Earlier, on May 28, the Pak Navy Ship Aslat, during regional maritime security petrol, also recovered a huge quantity of narcotics. “Pakistan Navy and PMSA are maintaining consistent presence on sea for surveillance of sea routes,” the Inter-Services Public Relations in a statement said. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the Pakistan Navy and PMSA for their anti-narcotics operations in North Arabian Sea.
