Yango Pakistan introduces enhanced features to commemorate Pakistan Safety Awareness Month

KARACHI: In celebration of “Pakistan Safety Awareness Month,” Yango Pakistan, the global tech company, is unveiling a suite of advanced safety features aimed at ensuring a secure experience for both drivers and passengers. These enhancements will further establish Yango’s steadfast commitment to delivering safety as a top priority in the ride-hailing industry.

As part of its safety campaign, Yango Pakistan now mandates drivers to upload a verified profile photo during registration. This allows passengers to confirm the driver’s identity by comparing the photo in the app with the driver who arrives. Additionally, drivers are required to submit photos of their driver’s license and vehicle, which undergo rigorous verification before they can start accepting ride requests.

The newly launched Safety Center within the passenger app includes essential safety tools such as an SOS button for emergencies, a Share Route feature for real-time trip sharing, and an Emergency Situation button for additional support. Passengers have the option to add trusted contacts who can monitor their rides in real time, ensuring continuous location updates throughout the journey. In the event of an emergency, passengers can use the SOS button to directly contact local authorities through the app for immediate assistance.

Furthermore, passengers can share comprehensive trip details including the route, driver’s name, and vehicle plate number with their trusted contacts, adding an extra layer of security to their journey. They can also view driver ratings based on feedback from other passengers, enabling them to make informed decisions for a safer ride experience.

Drivers, upon accepting a booking, can view the passenger’s rating from previous trips and are encouraged to provide feedback through a rating form after each ride, promoting a respectful and secure environment for all users. Yango Pakistan has also established a dedicated Support Incident Team available 24/7 to address any disputes or urgent issues between drivers and passengers, ensuring swift resolution and support.

These comprehensive safety features reinforce Yango Pakistan’s commitment to protecting the welfare of both drivers and passengers alike. By setting new standards in safety within the ride-hailing sector, Yango Pakistan aims to provide a dependable and secure experience for all users.
