Blind murder unclued, murderer caught

ISLAMABAD: On June 15, 2024, a citizen filed a complaint at Karachi Company police station stating that he is a resident of Darik Mohari, Islamabad, and that an unknown accused killed his nephew, namely Munir Khan.
Upon receiving the complaint, Karachi police station promptly registered case number 688 on June 15, 2024, and began an investigation. DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza, took strict notice of the incident and ordered the arrest of the accused involved in it.
Karachi Company and Homicide police traced the blind murder case using advanced technical and scientific methods and arrested an accused, namely Abdul Salam in a short time. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to killing the victim.
The accused shot and killed Munir Khan on June 15 because of a fight. After the incident, the accused went into hiding. Efforts are on to arrest the other co-accused. Further investigation is ongoing.
IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and DIG Islamabad commended the police team. DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza said that Islamabad Police is taking indiscriminate action to prevent crimes, violence, and murder incidents.
Strict legal action will be taken against those involved in such incidents, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice with solid evidence.
