ISLAMABAD: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) General, Abdullah Mahmood, visited the main procession routes for the 8th of Muharram-ul-Haram on Monday in the G-9 area of the Federal Capital.
He was joined by the Assistant Commissioner for the Industrial Area, Farwa Batool, according to the spokesman of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration. On the occasion, Abdullah Mahmood inspected the route, assessing both the overall arrangements and security measures.
The ADC also met with the mourners, who expressed their gratitude for the well-planned arrangements.
The main procession organizers praised the efforts of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) staff for handling sanitation to ensure the route was clean.
Abdullah Mahmood emphasized that tight security measures were in place along the procession path to maintain order. All necessary facilities were provided to volunteers to ensure their tasks were performed smoothly.
For the convenience of citizens, a plan was issued for alternative routes to minimize disruptions caused by the procession, he said.
