PML-N has a history of spearheading campaigns against Judiciary: KP Spox

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif said on Monday that politicising sensitive matters related to security is a long-held tradition of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
Responding to a scathing verbal attack by Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, in which he termed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) behind the recent turmoil in Bannu, Saif said that the PML-N has the precedent of doing politics on dead bodies, adding that the Model Town killings could not be forgotten.
He hit out at the PML-N by saying that the PML-N’s policy was to spread chaos in the country. He recalled the attack launched by the PML-N workers on the Supreme Court in 1997.
“This fake government is afraid of rising popularity of Imran Khan and the PTI. The ministers of this fake government speak without thinking as they don’t have anything to their credit,” he remarked.
Earlier, Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said on Sunday the federal government had appointed Faisal Karim Kundi as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor to impede the development process in the province.
He was reacting to a statement by the governor who while talking to the media in Mansehra city early in the day had termed the law and order situation in the southern districts alarming. The governor had accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) provincial government of having failed to perform the assigned duties of maintaining peace in KP.
The adviser accused the governor of giving out hateful statements against the KP government only to get the media’s attention.Barrister Saif, who is also the spokesman for the KP government, disputed the assertions made by the governor and said the lawlessness was at its peak when the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was in power at the Centre and KP.
“The governor has forgotten the days when the travel from Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan by road was impossible for lawlessness. It was the time when the PPP was in power. Kundi himself would travel to Peshawar from Dera Ismail Khan via Islamabad,” said the KP government spokesman.Barrister Saif said the governor had no political base as he had been defeated by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and his two brothers in the past elections.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Information Advisor, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, declared on Monday that the so-called “London Plan” is in shambles, urging the public to monitor those attempting to flee closely.
The PTI leader criticised the coalition government set-up, stating that the court ministers are attempting to sustain their regime through successive press conferences.
“PM Shehbaz and Maryam Nawaz are futilely trying to hold onto their fake empire by its tail. All they have left is the tail; the rest of the empire has slipped from their hands,” said Barrister Saif.
He reiterated that the “London Plan” has been thoroughly dismantled, urging the public to keep a special watch on those fleeing to London. “This time, excuses about falling platelets won’t work,” he asserted. –Agencies
