Boeing team arrives in Pakistan

KARACHI: A team from the aircraft manufacturer giant Boeing has arrived in Pakistan.
The Boeing officials are scheduled to visit Karachi Airport tomorrow, where Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials will brief them on the airport’s facilities and runways. The team will also visit the CAA headquarters, the sources said.
Additionally, there is a possibility of a meeting between Boeing officials and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) representatives.

Private companies interested in acquiring Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have sought detailed information on the airline’s daily flight operations.
The companies have also sought details of PIA’s daily flights, including domestic and international routes.
The private companies also sought information regarding airline’s revenue generated from premium flights and air service agreements with other countries. They have also requested for complete information of PIA’s aircraft fleet.
Earlier, Following the fake license scandal involving Pakistani pilots, now one of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees has been found to have a ‘bogus’ intermediate degree, leading to the issuance of a show-cause notice to him.
In the notice issued on July 30, 2024, PIA Deputy Station Manager Birmingham Javed Iqbal Bajwa was told that when his degrees were sent to the concerned educational boards for verification, it was revealed that his intermediate degree was fake. “This goes against the concerned sections of the airline’s Employees Disciplinary Policy, 2019. If you do not reply within seven days, action will be taken against you under the PIA’s rules and regulations,” Bajwa was informed.
