Protecting lives, properties our foremost responsibility: SSP

ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Arslan Shahzeb chaired a crime meeting at his office. The meeting was attended by Zonal SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and other officers.


On this occasion, SSP Operations reviewed the individual performance of officers and gave necessary directions, including timelines for the arrest of accused and collection of evidence in cases of robbery, murder, robbery, street crime, and other cases.
He emphasized ensuring the timely registration of FIRs in all circumstances. He further said that negligence and carelessness in duty are intolerable. Special focus should be placed on serious crimes, street crime, and crime hotspots.
A full-scale crackdown should be launched against drug dealers to eliminate the scourge of drugs. Actions against proclaimed offenders in serious cases should be expedited.
The patrolling system should be made more effective to prevent car and motorcycle thefts, and actions should be taken against organized and active gangs, he added.
He stressed that the conviction of accused in under-investigation cases must be ensured. Supervisory officers should rectify the deficiencies found in the under-investigation cases, personally visit the crime scenes in serious cases.
Effective investigation of cases, timely challan, and effective prosecution can ensure the conviction of accused. SSP Operations Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the foremost responsibility, for which Islamabad Police is diligently working round-the-clock.
All measures will be taken to provide facilities to citizens and maintain law and order throughout the city.
