CDA Chairman for connecting cycle tracks to metro stations

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday emphasized the importance of connecting cycle tracks with metro and other bus stations in Islamabad.
The consultants from Asian Development Bank (ADB) gave a detailed briefing to Chairman CDA on proposed cycle tracks in Islamabad.
The meeting was held via Zoom aimed at introducing an affordable and alternative mode of transportation and recreation in the Capital City.
Chairman Randhawa stressed that the project should be developed according to international standards while being cost-effective.
He directed to consult environmental experts to ensure the design is eco-friendly and preserves the city’s green belt.
The ADB mission shared international best practices and experiences from various countries, providing valuable insights for the development of cycle tracks in Islamabad.
Suggestions were made to complete the project, incorporating these international standards.
