BEIJING: China will award Medals of the Republic and national honorary titles, the highest State honors, to some eminent people to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on Oct 1, according to an official statement issued on Monday.
The move aims to honor their outstanding contributions to the country’s development, it said.
A proposed list of recipients has also been released, featuring four nominees for Medals of the Republic and 10 for national honorary titles. –The Daily Mail-China Daily news exchange item
