Foolproof security ensured to foreign delegation: DIG Security

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the DIG Security division Jawad Tariq chaired a high-level meeting regarding security during the visit of a foreign delegation to Islamabad.
Senior police officers of Islamabad Police, as well as officers from other law enforcement departments, attended the meeting. During the meeting it was decided that foolproof security would be provided during the delegation’s stay and movement, and all necessary arrangements would be ensured.
Similarly, complete checking of all routes will be carried out by bomb disposal squads, and the route will be monitored through security cameras. Quick response teams will remain on high alert during the delegation’s movement, and suspicious individuals will be closely monitored to prevent any anti-state elements from achieving their nefarious objectives.
Full coordination among all law enforcement agencies will be ensured, and an alternate route plan will be issued to manage traffic flow and provide all necessary facilities to the delegation.
DIG Security Division said that, the delegation’s security would be made foolproof, and modern cameras would be used for aerial surveillance to enhance security and ensure monitoring.
With the assistance of the CDA shrubs on both sides of the greenbelt along the route will be cleared, and cleanliness will be ensured. Islamabad Police officers will deploy personnel to duty points on time.
He further said that, Islamabad Police is utilizing all resources to ensure the security of both foreign and national delegations and to maintain peace and order throughout the city. The protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police, he added.
