RAWALPINDI: The President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Tariq Bugti, announced during a press conference that Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has graciously arranged medical cards for the federation’s players.
He expressed his gratitude towards the Army Chief for this significant support.
He further mentioned that a hockey academy will soon be established in Islamabad, with efforts underway to restore the federation to its former glory.
Tariq Bugti emphasised that political interference will no longer be tolerated in hockey, urging everyone to respect the sport’s integrity.
Despite providing opportunities, he lamented that some conspiratorial elements continue to harm the national sport.
Bugti also expressed concern that no players from the Sindh province are currently part of the Pakistan hockey team squad. –Agencies
