ISLAMABAD: Prisoners’ van were attacked near Sangjani.
According to details, 82 prisoners were being transported after hearing in court to Attock jail when 20 crooks on 4 vans carrying arms, sticks and stones attacked prisoner vans near Sangjani Toll Plaza. Moreover, 2 vehicles and arms hae been confiscated by the cops also. Four cops were injured in the attack while four attackers were arrested. Senior officers of Islamabad Police instantly got to the spot along heay personel and inspected the situation from all angles.
The prisoners who had run away have been successfully rearrested. The attackers opened fire on the police team also but the cops dealt the situation very bravely and handled it in no time. Teams have been constituted for the arrest of the remaining attackers. The cops ar also initiating search operations in suspiscious areas. In fact, legal action is underway under the accused.
