ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office of Pakistan has firmly rejected any offers or advice regarding dialogue with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to Radio Pakistan.
During her weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch reiterated that Pakistan has no interest in engaging with terror groups responsible for the deaths of civilians and security personnel.
She stated, “Such recommendations are an affront to the people who have lost their loved ones due to the activities of the TTP.”
Baloch highlighted that Afghan authorities hold the primary responsibility for taking action against ter-ror groups, particularly the TTP, which operate from Afghanistan. She noted that Pakistan has provided concrete evidence to the Afghan authorities regarding this issue. The spokesperson also raised concerns about India’s extraterritorial and extrajudicial activities, urging the international community to call on India to refrain from such actions within Pakistan and globally.
In response to a question, Baloch affirmed that Chinese nationals are valued guests in Pakistan, mak-ing significant contributions to the country’s development.
She emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring full security for Chinese nationals, pro-jects, and institutions, a commitment that has been communicated at the highest levels of Chinese leadership.
