ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has launched an awareness campaign regarding diversion plans for under-construction underpasses and flyovers, as well as traffic rules and road safety in the federal capital.
In this regard, officers from the Islamabad Traffic Police Education Wing have distributed diversion plans to citizens concerning the under-construction flyovers and underpasses. Along with this, they have guided citizens on alternate routes and provided information on traffic rules and road safety.
The officers of the Education Wing are using their professional skills to educate citizens about traffic laws. This includes information on driving without a license, pedestrian rights on the road, illegal parking, driving without a seatbelt, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, using fancy number plates, and using mobile phones while driving, among other traffic rules.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, said that the aim of this awareness campaign is to reduce accidents in the federal capital, ensure the strict enforcement of traffic laws, and provide the best possible travel facilities for citizens.
This initiative by the Islamabad Traffic Police has been appreciated by citizens. The CTO Islamabad urged citizens to adhere to traffic laws and cooperate with the traffic police to ensure the safety of themselves and others.
