ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to security forces for a successful intelligence- based operation against terrorists in District Kech, Balochistan.
The president and prime minister lauded the bravery and professionalism of the security forces for killing four terrorists including a high value target in the operation.
The president said that they would never allow terrorists to disrupt progress, prosperity and law and order of Balochistan province.
The entire nation lauded the contributions of security forces for peace and stability in the province, he added.
President Zardari reiterated the commitment to continue operations till eradication of menace of terrorism, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release.
The prime minister said those disrupting law and order would have to pay a very heavy price.
He said that they would continue to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists as the entire nation was standing shoulder to shoulder with their security forces.
The fight against terrorists would continue till terrorism was completely rooted out from the country, PM Office Media Wing, in a press release, quoted the prime minister as saying.
Earlier, As Kashmir marks the ‘Black Day’ in condemnation of India’s illegal occupation of the region, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in separate messages, expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris, pledging unwavering support until the achievement of their inalienable right to self-determination. The president urged the international community to pressurise India to halt its human rights abuses in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris and implement UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
He also condemned India’s ongoing atrocities in the illegally occupied territory and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral, diplomatic and political support for the Kashmiri people’s just cause.
In his message on the occasion, PM Shehbaz Sharif, said that the people of IIOJK have suffered countless hardships during the last 77 years of occupation. He said India had been taking successive steps to tighten its grip over IIOJK since August 5, 2019, when New Delhi abolished the special status of the disputed region.
President Zardari said that Pakistan would stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters until the final resolution of the Kashmir dispute and freedom of Kashmir.
President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday lauded the Pakistan Army for conducting two successful operations against Khwarij in North Waziristan.
The president paid tribute to the security forces for thwarting terrorist infiltration, a statement issued by the President House Press Wing said.
President Zardari saluted the determination and sacrifices of Pakistan Army, reaffirming the commitment to eliminate terrorism.
He also commended the security forces for their timely actions to send the Khwarij to their doom.
