Pakistan moving from darkness to progress, claims Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan is emerging from darkness and moving towards progress.
During a meeting with Punjab Assembly members from Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, and Pakpattan divisions, discussions focused on public welfare projects and future political strategies.
Sharif said that economic indicators were improving, noting that the policy rate had been reduced from 22 percent to 12 percent, stimulating economic activity.
He highlighted the stock market reaching record levels, a stable rupee, and declining inflation. Sharif also credited Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts for economic recovery, which had been acknowledged by the IMF.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz remarked that improving people’s lives was their ultimate reward.
Lawmakers praised Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, describing him as a symbol of Pakistan’s prosperity and capability. The meeting was attended by senior party leaders, including Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and Rana Sanaullah.
Earlier, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has said that an individual who came into power with dishonesty, jolted foundations of the country.
He was talking to the members of Punjab Assembly on Wednesday, who called on him and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
“We have diverted the direction of collapse towards development,” former prime minister said. “The stock exchange has been on the highest level, the price hike going down, the rupee has stabilized and growth moving upward,” Nawaz said.
“We are thankful to Almighty, the country is coming out of the darkness,” he added.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “Nawaz Sharif has been Pakistan’s brand of progress, betterment in lives of people is prize for our hard work”.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a meeting on Monday with members of the Punjab Assembly from the Lahore Division.
The discussion focused on public welfare projects and future political strategies as members apprised the party leadership of the problems being faced by the people and the current political situation in their respective constituencies.
