DIG for swift action of Homicide cases

ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad, Muhammad Javed Tariq, presided over an important meeting with the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU). The meeting was attended by senior police officers and homicide officials.

During the meeting, he reviewed the performance of the homicide unit officers and issued directives to improve their efficiency. He emphasized the need for strict legal actions to prevent and combat murders and bring the perpetrators to justice. He further directed that, any accused not yet arrested should be apprehended promptly, and investigations should be handled with utmost professionalism. Arrested accused should be charged in court with solid evidence to ensure they receive the proper punishment.
He also stated that all officers must perform their duties in a professional manner and warned that any negligence in carrying out responsibilities would not be tolerated.
The protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
