IGP chairs meeting at CPO

Islamabad: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office Islamabad. The meeting was attended by DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javed Tariq, DIG Headquarters Syed Ali Raza, all Divisional AIGs, SSPs, zonal SSPs, and other senior police officers.
IGP Islamabad addressed the officers stating that security in the federal capital should be further strengthened during Ramadan and that personal comfort and rest must be sacrificed for the protection of the public.


He emphasized ensuring the security of worship places, markets, commercial centers and other important locations while keeping a close watch on suspicious elements.
He further instructed that in accordance with the prevailing situation all police officers should enhance security measures. He also directed strict actions to prevent incidents of robbery, dacoity and theft.
All officers were instructed to ensure the arrest of absconders, proclaimed offenders and to enhance patrolling.
Officers were tasked with preventing motor vehicles thefts and ensuring the arrest of those involved in such crimes. Furthermore, he emphasized the immediate arrest of criminals involved in organized crime, serious offenses, murder, abduction, robbery and other criminal activities as well as drug dealers.
He urged a faster pace of work to apprehend these criminals. He also reminded all officers that they must be prepared to deal with any law and order situation in accordance with the law. All necessary measures should be taken to protect citizens lives, properties.
He further instructed all officers to brief their subordinates on any potential law and order situation, check their duties personally and visit various areas of the city to ensure the implementation of these instructions.
In addition, IGP Islamabad ordered the officers to serve the public with a spirit of community service and ensure that all possible assistance is provided to the citizens.
He stated that the protection of citizens’ lives, property and providing them with every possible facility is the primary responsibility of Islamabad Police.
All SHOs of Islamabad Police should always be available to citizens. The attitude of the concerned officers should be exemplary when dealing with complainants.
All officers were also instructed to take measures for the welfare of their subordinate staff to boost their morale.
He further added that the primary goal of Islamabad Police is to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the capital residents along with maintaining law and order and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
