ISLAMABAD: IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi is personally reviewing security arrangements at masjids and across the city during fajr, iftar and taraweeh prayers.
Additionally, he is holding daily high-level meetings with officers to assess crime prevention efforts and public safety measures issuing important directives for more effective and concrete actions. Additionally, over 4,000 policemen are deployed in Ramadan to ensure the peace and tranquility in Islamabad.
IGP Islamabad is also conducting open courts (Khuli Kachehri) at the Central Police Office Islamabad to listen to citizens grievances and issue on the spot directions to senior police officials for their resolution. The IGP has also visited various sasta bazaars to inspect security, price lists and traffic flow.
To boost the morale of officers deployed for public safety during Ramadan the IGP Islamabad is joining them for iftar at different locations daily. He has directed all officers to break their fasts with on-duty personnel in their respective areas to support those serving away from their families.
Officers are also personally inspecting security duties at masjids during suhoor, iftar and prayer times. IGP Islamabad emphasized that the primary objective is not only to ensure the safety of citizens but also to instill a sense of security among them. He urged officers to remain vigilant throughout the night to patrol streets, neighborhoods, highways and commercial centers to thwart the malicious intentions of criminal and disruptive elements. He acknowledged the relentless efforts of traffic police personnel who work around the clock to facilitate citizens, manage traffic flow during peak hours and ensure a smooth and safe journey for all.
He further added that the best way to please Allah is by serving his people.
Moreover the IGP has instructed all officers to treat citizens visiting police stations with courtesy, provide them with the best possible facilities and resolve their issues on a priority basis.
Furthermore the SHOs of all police stations are ensuring the implementation of effective security measures within their respective jurisdictions in order to establish a robust security system in the city.
Due to the clear directives and effective strategy of the IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi there has been a significant decline in crime incidents in the federal capital.
As a result citizens are not only executing their daily lives tasks in a peaceful manner but also witnessing a noticeable increase in commercial activities in the city.
