ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan held a crime meeting with officers from the Saddar zone. The meeting was attended by SP Saddar zone Abdul Qayyum, SDPOs and SHOs.
During the meeting, SSP Operations directed that all patrol units including Dolphin and Ababeel emergency response units should intensify patrolling across all areas of the city.
During the holy month of Ramadan, security should be made more effective with a special focus on places of worship, markets, commercial centers and other important locations along with continuous monitoring of previously arrested criminals and making patrolling more purposeful and effective.
SSP Operations also emphasized ensuring the arrest of criminals involved in street robberies, thefts and motorbike and car lifting activities and recovery of stolen goods. He urged that all available resources be utilized to eradicate criminal elements from the city. A crackdown should be carried out to arrest absconders and criminals involved in serious cases.
Furthermore, SSP Operations instructed all officers to take decisive actions against land-grabbing mafias, drug dealers, illegal arms holders and those involved in heinous crimes. He emphasized that strict legal actions should be taken against those involved in such crimes and that these criminals should be brought to justice.
SSP Operations also ordered that all officers ensure the swift resolution of citizens complaints at the police station level and address their issues on a priority basis.
He further added that complaints related to corruption, misconduct and inappropriate behavior will be dealt with sternly and any abuse of power will not be tolerated.
He instructed all officers to maintain exemplary discipline and reaffirmed that the protection of citizens lives and property is the top priority and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
