ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi the Islamabad Traffic Police organized a one-day road safety workshop for students at City School F-8.
A large number of students attended the workshop where they were educated about road safety and other traffic laws.
Islamabad Traffic Police education wing provided students with information on road safety, cautious driving, dangers of using mobile phones while driving, importance of wearing seat belts, risks of riding a motorcycle without a helmet, respecting the rights of other road users, use of overhead bridges, pedestrian crossings, dangers of speeding and other traffic laws.
On this occasion, the school administration appreciated the awareness campaign run by Islamabad Traffic Police stating that it is commendable that the ITP education wing is providing information about road safety and traffic laws to school students and citizens.
They praised the efforts of ITP officers who provide assistance to the public in difficult times and perform their duties with exceptional service.
Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Captain (Retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider said that children are the builders of any nation and in the future these children will take charge of the country.
Therefore educating them about road safety and traffic laws is the duty of Islamabad Traffic Police and ITP is fulfilling this duty effectively, he added.
