ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi the Islamabad Police is working effectively to promote community policing.
In this regard, a seminar was held in the Saddar zone on the theme “We Rise Together”. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq attended as the chief guest, while SP saddar zone Abdul Qayyum, senior police officers, business community, members of civil society, lawyers, students, journalists and a large number of citizens participated.
During the seminar, DIG Islamabad discussed the ongoing operations against drug dealers and criminals in the federal capital as well as the strategies being implemented to combat them.
He also informed the audience about the efforts being made for maintaining peace and tranquility in Islamabad and the measures taken to provide facilities for citizens.
He further emphasized that Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to ensure the protection of citizens lives and property. Concrete measures are being implemented to maintain law and order in the city, he added.
Additionally, DIG Islamabad praised the officers working in Saddar zone for their exemplary service and awarded shields to those demonstrating effective performance.
The purpose of the seminar was to work together to combat crime, particularly the increasing trend of drug abuse, to successfully promote the “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement and to bridge the gap between citizens and the police by establishing organized and coordinated relationships.
