ITP ensures smooth traffic flow during Eid

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and the Islamabad Traffic Police implemented a comprehensive traffic plan to maintain effective traffic management in federal capital during Eid holidays.
In this regard, under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider, strict action was taken against reckless motorcyclists involved in one-wheeling and hooliganism.
Legal action was initiated against 958 motorcyclists, while 231 motorcycles were impounded in different police stations for serious traffic violations.
CTO Islamabad Syed Zeeshan Haider stated that due to the effective measures taken by the traffic police no incidents of one-wheeling, motorcycle racing or accidents were reported in the federal capital during Eid.
He further added that the efforts and dedication of Islamabad Police during Eid were widely appreciated by citizens across various platforms.
Additionally, over 500 traffic police officers were deployed to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow across major roads in Islamabad.
