ISLAMABAD: DIG Islamabad Shakir Hussain Dawar held a khuli kachehri at his office, followed by a surprise visit to the Industrial Area and Kohsar police stations.
During the khuli kachehri he heard the concerns of the citizens and gave instructions to the officers for the swift resolution of these issues.
He also mentioned that citizens could file their complaints at the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715” for resolving their issues.
He further stated that in line with the special instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi the Islamabad Police is committed to solving the issues of citizens and is constantly working to address their concerns by reaching out to them through various measures.
Moreover, during his surprise visits to the Industrial Area and Kohsar police stations, DIG Islamabad inspected the records, front desk and lockups. He also checked the data of detainees in the lockups.
During his visit, he met with citizens at the police stations and heard their problems and gave instructions to resolve these issues immediately.
He directed all officers to treat the public with politeness, especially the elderly, women and children, emphasizing that any inappropriate behavior or ill-treatment would not be tolerated.
Furthermore, he gave directions to senior officers to prioritize the welfare and address the issues faced by police officers on a priority basis.
