ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan held a significant meeting with officers from the Anti-Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) and the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC).
The meeting was attended by SP Organized Crime Unit Syed Sajjad Haider Bukhari, in-charges of ARDU and AVLC and other police officers.
During the meeting, SSP Operations issued directives to the officers emphasizing the need to tighten the noose around criminal elements involved in robbery, street crimes and motor-vehicles lifting and to ensure their arrest.
He instructed all officers to form special teams to take effective action against such incidents especially those involving firing during robberies which result in injuries to citizens and to work towards preventing such crimes.
He made it clear that in the future the officer in charge of the area where any incident takes place will be held accountable.
All police officers were directed to make the crackdown against criminal elements more effective.
He further stated that officers showing good performance will be rewarded while those with poor performance will face strict departmental action.
All police officers were also instructed to provide better facilities to the citizens.
The safety of citizens lives and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
