ISLAMABAD: PS Sabzi Mandi received a complaint from a citizen reporting the kidnapping of her husband Ghulam Hussain by unknown individuals. Upon receiving the information, the police team immediately registered the case and initiated an investigation.
Following the grave nature of the incident, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Javed Tariq directed the arrest of the culprits and the safe recovery of the victim. Under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad and SSP Investigation, police teams were formed to conduct the investigation.
Utilizing Safe City camera footage, technical and human resources, the police teams successfully arrested eight accused involved in the abduction. The hostage was rescued alive and unharmed without paying the demanded ransom. The accused had demanded Rps 09 million rupees for the release of the hostage. The arrested accused have been identified as Bashir, Noman, Adil Abbasi, Hussain, Zahid Iqbal, Tahir Mehmood, Umair Khalid and Khizer Khalid. A case has been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is ongoing.
