ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi measures have been taken to enhance the legal actions against violators of traffic laws to keep Islamabad free from accidents, maintain road discipline and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
In this regard, all zonal DSPs have been issued special instructions to take stringent and effective legal actions against heavy vehicles violating lane discipline, motorcyclists without helmet and other drivers violating traffic laws.
In addition, special enforcement teams have been established by Islamabad Traffic Police, who are conducting legal actions at various locations across the city.
Furthermore, the Islamabad Traffic Police Awareness Wing is constantly engaged in educating citizens about road safety laws at major roads and important locations.
Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider stated that strict action would be taken against vehicles, motorcyclists and other elements causing obstruction to traffic flow.
Ensuring the adherence to law and the restoration of a coordinated traffic system is a top priority.
He urged citizens to cooperate with Islamabad Traffic Police by following the law, helping to keep the city safe from accidents.
