IGP calls for modern tech to counter crime

ISLAMABAD: Key matters related to citywide security, public service, and crime prevention were discussed. IG Islamabad emphasized the need for an integrated strategy to enhance policing in line with modern standards, upgrade systems, and utilize advanced technology to make service delivery more effective.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a series of important meetings focused on improving service delivery and public facilitation. The meetings were attended by senior officers of Islamabad Police.
On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad made several key decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of services provided by Islamabad Police.


It was decided to redesign checkpoints and remove unnecessary barriers in order to provide better facilities to citizens.
Additionally, steps will be taken to further reduce crime rates and expand the scope of patrolling to ensure the safety of life and property of the residents.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar, Director IT Islamabad Police and Joint Director Law and Order (PITB) Rai Rashid.
During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad stressed the importance of an integrated strategy for upgrading the system, improving policing standards and making service delivery more efficient through the use of modern technology.
IGP Islamabad reaffirmed that maintaining law and order in the federal capital and providing maximum facilities to citizens are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
He instructed all officers to ensure the effective use of modern technologies and directed that all available resources be utilized to further improve policing standards and take every necessary step to resolve public issues.
