ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq has implemented another commendable initiative for the ease of citizens in the federal capital.

As part of this effort, special police “Help Desks” have been set up to ensure timely guidance and immediate assistance during emergencies at the cattle markets across the city.
Similarly, trained young police officers have been deployed at these help desks. Additionally, to address any issues faced by women, female police officers have also been specially appointed.
These help desks will not only provide immediate assistance to citizens but will also take indiscriminate action against professional beggars operating in commercial areas. Citizens will be able to obtain immediate information on any matter at these help desks, and they will also be able to seek prompt assistance from Islamabad Police in any emergency or difficulty.
DIG Islamabad stated that the purpose of these help desks is to provide all possible facilities to the public. Furthermore, they aim to ensure smooth flow of people in cattle markets and commercial areas and to promote commercial activities.
He added that in such areas, citizens often face harassment, mobility issues and other illegal activities, which lead to a decline in public engagement.
Considering these challenges, Islamabad Police has established these special help desks to ensure a sense of security for citizens in commercial centers, allowing them to carry out their activities freely.
