Lost citizens rescued safely from hiking trail

ISLAMABAD: A call was received on “Pukar-15” reporting that two citizens had lost their way while hiking on Trail-5, located within the jurisdiction of the Secretariat Police Station, and had not returned. Attempts to contact them had also failed.
Upon receiving this information, DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq directed the SP City to immediately and safely locate the missing individuals. Under the supervision of the SP City, a search operation was launched involving the SDPO Secretariat, SHO Secretariat Police Station and Margalla Patrol Unit police teams. Within a short time, the police teams successfully located the two lost citizens. The individuals had come to Islamabad for sightseeing and lost their way while hiking on Trail-5.
The rescued citizens expressed heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Islamabad Police for their timely response and safe recovery.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq praised the police teams involved in the operation and stated that ensuring the safety of citizens is their foremost duty.
He further noted that conducting operations in the Margalla Hills at night is extremely dangerous, but the police officers successfully located the missing citizens shortly after the operation began.
