Security measures enhanced at Diplomatic Enclave

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi the Islamabad Police is constantly engaged in maintaining peace and tranquility in the federal capital.
In this regard, officers of Islamabad Police are effectively performing their duties to ensure the protection of embassies, ambassadorial residences, United Nations offices and important government properties located in the Diplomatic Enclave.
SSP Security division Muhammad Sarfraz Virk issued instructions to police officers on duty emphasizing that the protection of all government and private offices as well as embassies located in the high-security zone is of utmost importance.
He instructed that no negligence or carelessness should be shown during duty and the registration of information for all individuals entering the high-security zone must be ensured. Thorough searches of their vehicles and motorcycles must be conducted.
All government employees should carry their departmental ID cards and cooperate with police officers during the search and registration process. Islamabad Police is utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order in the federal capital.
Citizens are requested to report any suspicious person or activity by dialing Pucar-15 emergency helpline. The protection of citizens lives and property is among the top priority of Islamabad Police.
