Former AJKCCI visits FGP office

ISLAMABAD: Prominent business leader and former President of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AJKCCI), Chaudhry Sohaib Saeed, visited the office of Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP) to discuss collaboration opportunities for economic empowerment, sustainable enterprise and green economy initiatives in AJK.
During the meeting with Muhammad Anwar, CEO of FGP and senior team member Farhan Jawaid, discussions centered around unlocking the economic potential of AJK, particularly in sectors like renewable energy, eco-tourism, women and youth-led entrepreneurship, and skills development.
Sohaib Saeed shared his thoughtful insights as an experienced member of the business community in the region, and said that there was a growing need for development sector initiatives that could contribute to sustainable economic growth, job creation, and social well being.
He further added that FGP could extend its work, especially around green economic activities in the region in collaboration with the local business community.
Muhammad Anwar emphasized the importance of such dialogues and collaborations, stating, “AJK possess immense potential to become a model for green and inclusive economic development. Meaningful partnerships with local business leadership are essential to design interventions that support youth and women empowerment, drive skills enhancement, and create lasting socio-economic impact for the region.”
The session concluded with a shared understanding on the importance of aligning future initiatives with the region’s unique economic strengths while ensuring environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.
