BEIJING: Ambassador Khalil Hashmi participated at the closing ceremonies of the first batch of agricultural pro-fessionals who were sent to China as Prime Minister’s Initiative for Capacity Building of 1000 Agricul-tural Professionals in Yangling Hi-Tech Industries Agricultural Demonstration Zone.
The first batch of around 300, was enrolled at two different universities, and was trained in areas of high priority for Pakistan: smart irrigation, post-harvest loss prevention, animal breeding, water conservation, among other.
Ambassador’s remarks at both ceremonies emphasized that this milestone did not merely conclude a training module, but marked the beginning of a deeper, more impactful phase in Pakistan-China co-operation.
The graduation of the first cohort of Pakistani agricultural professionals trained in Yangling reflects our continued resolve for implementation of consensus reached at the leadership level.
We hope that these professionals can now return as agents of change, equipped not only with knowledge, but with the spirit of innovation that defines Yangling’s agricultural frontier. –PR
