ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police carried out a grand search and combing operation in various areas falling under the jurisdiction of Tarnol and Golra Police Stations.
During the operation, a total of 170 individuals were screened, 80 houses were searched and 63 motorcycles and 16 vehicles were thoroughly inspected. As a result of the operation, 40 suspicious individuals were shifted to the respective police stations for further investigation.
The large-scale operation was conducted under the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements across the federal capital.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, stated that the primary aim of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminals and enhance overall security in the city. He added that search and combing operations are being carried out regularly across different areas of Islamabad.
The Islamabad Police remains committed to taking indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. Citizens are urged to immediately report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pukar-15”.
