CTO visits ITP HQs

ISLAMABAD: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Captain (retd) Hamzah Humayun visited the Islam-abad Traffic Police Headquarters. On this occasion, senior police officers briefed him on the various departments within the driving license branch and their procedures.
CTO Islamabad also reviewed the facilities being provided to citizens applying for driving licenses. He met with applicants and inquired about the issues they were facing.
He instructed all traffic police officers to provide maximum ease and all necessary facilities to the citi-zens visiting for driving licenses.
He stated that police guides have been appointed to assist and guide applicants, and that driving li-censes will continue to be issued purely on merit and with complete transparency.
He further directed the officers to make the license issuance process simpler and more transparent to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience.
He also emphasized that officers should treat citizens with courtesy and respect. Additionally, he stressed the importance of educating citizens who obtain learner permits about traffic laws and road safety, with the aim of making Islamabad a city free from traffic accidents.
He reiterated that officers must strictly follow the traffic police code of conduct, “Pehle Salaam, Phir Kalaam”.
Maintaining an organized traffic system in the federal capital and providing citizens with every possible facility are among the top priorities of Islamabad Traffic Police, CTO added.
