Capital Cops mark 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, Defence Day with prayers, tributes

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police commenced the morning of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal and Pakistan Defence Day with the recitation of the Holy Quran in the mosque. Police officers and officials offered Fatiha for the martyrs who defended the homeland and prayed for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
On this occasion, Inspector General of Police Islamabad (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of the blessed birth of the Seal of the Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).


He stated that the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the greatest mercy and a message of guidance for humanity. His (PBUH) noble life teaches us lessons of love, brotherhood, justice, and service to humanity.
He further added that on this blessed day, we pledge to shape our lives according to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). May Allah make us all true lovers of the Prophet and make Pakistan a cradle of peace and progress.
IGP Islamabad also visited the Martyrs’ Memorial on Defence Day and laid a floral wreath. He said that 6th September is an unforgettable chapter in our history. This day reminds us how the Pakistan Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan together thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs.
The brave and valiant soldiers of the Pakistan Army sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.
He further stated that the “Battle of Truth – Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs” is a continuation of the armed forces’ dedication and sacrifices for the defense of the country.
On this day, we pay tribute to our martyrs and war veterans. Our martyrs and veterans not only protected the land of Pakistan and its people with their sacrifices but also brought honor and pride to the nation.
