ISLAMABAD: SSP Safe City Dr. Muhammad Iqbal held an important meeting at Safe City Islamabad. The meeting was attended by members from various private housing societies.
The discussion centered around the integration of surveillance cameras installed in private housing societies with the Safe City Command and Control Center. The aim is to keep an effective watch on criminal elements and enhance the overall security monitoring system throughout the city. It was further stated that connecting private societies to the Safe City system is not only intended to monitor criminal activities more effectively but also to improve city-wide surveillance and monitoring using the existing camera infrastructure in those societies.
On this occasion, SSP Safe City emphasized that both the public and the police must work together, using modern techniques and available resources in line with the demands of the changing times, to improve individual and collective performance.
He added that information technology plays a vital role in both the present and the future, and its effective use is central to all operational processes. Therefore, it is essential to develop professional expertise in IT to ensure its efficient utilization in the era of modern policing.
