DIG Islamabad holds Police Darbar

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the DIG Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, convened a Police Darbar at the Rescue 15 office.
Officers and personnel from the Islamabad Police Operations division participated in the gathering. SSP Operations and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
During the Police Darbar, police personnel presented personal and departmental issues to the DIG Islamabad. He issued immediate orders on the spot for matters that could be resolved right away and directed the concerned officers to promptly address other pending issues.


DIG Islamabad also praised the efforts of the officers for maintaining law and order. Addressing the Police Darbar, he emphasized, we all have a shared responsibility in improving this city.
Officers who demonstrate outstanding performance during duty will be appreciated. Officers must play an active role in ensuring the safety of citizens, especially women and children.
He further stated, all our personnel are equal to us and are like our own children. Your problems are our problems. He added that several welfare initiatives have been undertaken for police personnel and that if any employee faces a personal or departmental issue, my office door is always open for you.
He also directed his staff to immediately inform him of any issue faced by police personnel and to prioritize its resolution. On this occasion, SSP Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan reiterated that resolving the issues faced by officers and their welfare is among Islamabad Police’s top priorities.
He added that individuals who bring disrepute to the department will not be allowed to remain part of the force under any circumstances and additionally departmental actions will also be taken against them.
The purpose of holding the Police Darbar is to prioritize the welfare of police officials, resolve their personal and departmental issues, and boost their morale.
