ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, presided over an important meeting on public service delivery late at night.
The meeting was attended by the DIG Islamabad and other senior police officers. During the meeting, the IGP Islamabad issued special instructions to all officers to speed up the process of issuing licenses and to provide more facilities to the public.
To ensure the best possible services for the citizens of the federal capital, in addition to the Khidmat Markaz in F-6, the traffic police office at Faizabad will now also remain open 24 hours a day.
The operating hours of Police Khidmat Markaz centers have been extended from 6 PM to 9 PM, and additional counters are also being set up.
The IGP Islamabad stated that in the future, traffic-related services will also be available at all police stations.
Additionally, the facility for issuing driving licenses has been provided at 11 Police Khidmat Markaz. The aim of this initiative is to make it as easy as possible for citizens to obtain a driving license.
All citizens are advised to obtain their driving licenses before October 1. From October 1 onwards, driving without a license will result in FIR registration, arrest, and vehicle impoundment.
In this regard, the traffic police are also raising awareness among the public through various platforms.
The IGP Islamabad further stated that maintaining law and order in Islamabad, preventing crime, and providing every possible facility to the citizens are top priorities of the Islamabad Police.
